What is cataract and how does it affect vision?
A cataract occurs when the natural lens of the eye becomes cloudy, making it harder for light to pass through. This causes blurred or hazy vision, increased sensitivity to glare, and difficulty seeing clearly at night. Over time, cataracts can interfere with daily activities such as reading, driving, or recognizing faces.

Dr Julian Theng Thiam Siew
Dr Theng is the founder, Group Chairman and Medical Director of Eagle Eye Centre. He graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 1992 with MBBS degree. Obtained post graduate qualifications, MMED (Ophth), FRCS (Edinburgh) and FRCOphth (London).
