A Comprehensive Eye Examination for Children before Starting School
This screening is designed to assess the vision and identify conditions that could impede a child's learning in school.
The screening includes assessments performed by an optometrist, followed by a doctor consultation to review findings and discuss the results.
Based on the findings, the doctor may discuss whether myopia control options, such as atropine eye drops or orthokeratology lenses, may be suitable for your child. Where appropriate, further assessment or referral will be advised.
Who should consider this screening
- Children of school going age or getting ready for school
- Children with one or both parents who are myopic
- Parents concerned about their child's vision or rapid myopia progression
- Children who spend long hours on near work or digital devices
- Families seeking advice on myopia control options
