Why choose EagleLASIK?
We offer all forms of refractive surgery available today:
LASIK, Bladeless LASIK, Epi-LASIK - which are all wavefront optimized - and
also implantable contact lens (ICL). With the above surgical procedures,
EEC is able to provide the type of surgery we consider to be the most appropriate for our patients.

Refractive Surgery & LASIK
Refractive surgery refers to any form of surgery that corrects the refractive status (myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism) of the eye.
LASIK is the most popular form of refractive surgery.
With the advent of newer technology and techniques, more patients (even those who were once considered unsuitable) are now able to undergo refractive surgery.
The possibility of achieving "Eagle Vision" has become a reality for everyone.

Traditional LASIK treats one's refractive error the way spectacles and contact lenses treat distortions caused by myopia, hyperopia or astigmatism, but no more than that, just the standard treatment for all.
Wavefront LASIK is similar except that we use modified software that personalizes the treatment for each individual taking into account each individuals different eye characteristics. Wavefront LASIK not only treats these refractive errors but additional "aberrations" or simply, "distortions" not due to myopia, hyperopia or astigmatism. One such additional "aberration" and the most prominent one, is "spherical aberration".
At EEC, with the highly advanced Allegretto Wave machine, all our patients will be offered a " Wavefront optimised LASIK treatment' where "spherical aberrations" are treated and minimized as the standard treatment of care, aimed at offering excellent results for all patients.

In April 2008, EEC acquired the 2 Laser Technologies - the Allegretto Wave by Wavelight & the Ziemer's FEMTO LDV Bladeless Laser. Read more about our EagleLASIK Technology.
The Ziemer's FEMTO LDV Bladeless Laser is the first compact, mobile femtosecond surgical laser. It provides a clinical advantage of excellent visual outcomes, rapid healing and visual recovery. Patients can undergo surgery all in one sitting without having to shift from location to location. Information listed here on the FEMTO LDV is extracted from the manufacturer's webpage here.
EEC also offers the Allegretto Wave which has a correction time of 2 seconds per dioptre (100 degrees).. This reduces risk of inaccuracies from drying up of cornea tissue, providing consistently accurate results. Information listed here on the Allegretto Wave is extracted from the manufacturer's webpage here.
