Glaucoma | Diabetic Eye Treatment
Glaucoma is one of the complications of diabetes. Glaucoma is damage to the optic nerve due to high pressure inside the eyeball. It has been described as a "silent thief" as it steals the vision slowly. If left untreated or poorly treated, glaucoma may lead to deterioration in the vision and may result into partial or complete loss of vision. Worldwide, it is the second leading cause of blindness. Glaucoma affects one in two hundred people aged fifty and younger, and one in ten over the age of eighty.
