Launch 1: Acrysof Cache Lens – Phakic Intraocular Lens (IOL)

The Acrysof Cache Lens was designed to correct nearsightedness. It is a surgical alternative to the popular LASIK procedure and is usually recommended for patients deemed unsuitable for LASIK. EEC’s Medical Director and Director of Cornea and Refractive Surgery, Dr Julian Theng, was privileged and honoured to be selected to represent Asia to implant this lens.
Launch 2: No-Touch All Laser Epi LASIK

Initiated by Dr Lim Wee Kiak and Dr Julian Theng, this technique is self-explanatory in its description; it doesn’t involve any equipments or machines touching the cornea. The cornea is a transparent curved lens at the front of the eye. With a new devised algorithm, the technique makes use of the excimer laser to ablate the epithelium (top skin layer of the corneal) and subsequently the additional laser ablation to reshape the cornea to correct the degree.
Launch 3: ChromaGen Lens for Dyslexia and Colour Vision Deficiency

EEC has started a clinical service with a newly equipped patented system for the management of dyslexia and colour vision deficiency.
ChromaGen is the only FDA approved system of eight colour filter lenses of a specific density and hue for the management of these disorders and is available with prescription in both spectacle and contact lens modality.
